I'd give it to Redknapp, although they won't due to the reasons why OAF has just left.

It's obvious. Southgate has been groomed for this and the squad for the next two games has already been chosen for him. Neville had been groomed a his replacement as 'yes man' so despite his incredible record of consistent abject failure, he will step into Southgate's shoes. The real question is who will replace Neville? It *should* be the Fa paying Howe more money than everyone above him on a five year programme, but it won't a they have no clue about sports performance programmes, so it will be Stuart Pearce.

Won't be popular but I would like to see Mauricio Pochettino get the job.
Chance of it happening is zero tho.

It'll be Redknapp.
Don't know whether I'd be happy with that or not.

Having said that, some of the things he's been implicated in, in the past, probably means it won't be, as Johnson said.

I said Guus Hiddink before Sam. I think he would be a very good England manager.
But I can see exactly what will happen now. Can see it. Southgate will do ok in he four game, get the gig, qualify for the World Cup. And when we get there we will be absolutely fucking atrocious.
It is so nailed on its not even funny.

I think that the FA will look at all of the exciting, forward thinking, young (under 50) managers, then disregard them, and pick another uninspiring dinosaur.

My son asked if the manager had to be English, to which I told him no.
My daughter then piped up asking if he was allowed to be black...
Same answer...
